IrCOMM

Greetings:

What support, if any, does NetBSD have for IrDA (infrared support)?
The linux folks have made some progress on this:

Also on many laptops, the IrDA device can be allocated a com (serial)
port by the bios. Does this mean that IrDA support can be achieved
in application space using the "com" serial driver in NetBSD, without
a specific IrDA driver? If so, it should be easy to port the Linux
IrDA support into NetBSD, right?

I am most interested in "IrCOMM" support so that I can exchange data
between my NetBSD laptop and my Palm-CE device. Ideally I would love
to get IrLAN support or PPP via "IrCOMM" support on both NetBSD and
Palm-CE so that I can allocate an IP number to the Palm device and
transfer data with Pocket Internet Explorer, via NetBSD acting as the
TCP/IP gateway to an ethernet lan.

Alicia.
