There is, of course, the issue of what "they," the users, actually
want from their systems.  There are many different classes of users.

E.g. there are users who want to run stable releases, and who would be
happy to run the driver on stable releases.  That segment of the
market would possibly be interested in a driver for that board,
source-available or not, if it otherwise fit their needs.

Historically, NetBSD has not done enough to support that class of
users, and that should be fixed.  But that's not to say that that
class of users doesn't exist, because it does most definitely exist.
