I remember this being asked before, but haven't been able to find it in the
archives.

I've got an HP LJ5 hooked up to my box, with a ghostscript filter. Everything
works fine, but I get the "lpt0: offline" messages everytime I send a print
job to the queue.

Doesn't stop the job going through, so it's not important, but could somebody
explain what's causing these messages and say if they're an indiciation of
some misconfiguration?
