Local access to this server will be minimal, only telnet etc. Outside
access will be through a 2 Mbps line anyway so 10 Mbps PIO shouldn't be
much of a problem.

No one has commented on the Tandberg SLR5 streamer, should it "just
work" or has no one tried it? I see the 1.3.2 INSTALL document says
"most SCSI tapedrives" but how about turning on the drive's compression?
Should I go for a DAT drive instead? Anyone tried using a 15/30 GB DLT
drive?

My main concern is disk I/O. 12 Majordomo mailing lists serving almost
5000 zubscribers means a lot of processing of the mail queue. The Web
server is also quite popular with a lot of searching through old mail
archives.

A RAID solution would be ideal but I see no mention of SCSI RAID
controllers on the list of supported hardware. I guess the only option
for using RAID would be an external cabinet with a built-in RAID
controller?
