I'm trying to install NetBSD 1.3 onto a Toshiba Satellite Pro 445CDX.
Booting the GENERIC#0 kernel yields a panic while probing the sound
card.  The boot messages are included below.  I think (but I've never
installed on i386 before, so please bear with me) that the OPL3-SAx
built-in sound card is being attached twice, as sb0 and as wss0.  The
users guide says that the OPL3 is hardware-compatible with both the
SoundBlaster and Windows Sound System, but should it only get attached
as one of them?

I looked through the archives and found a few messages related to the
Yamaha OPL3, but I think the solutions to those problems required
being able to compile a new kernel.  Will getting a -current snapshot
work as well?  If so, where can I find a more current i386 snapshot?
