Hi,

 got a used AHA 2842 A . Trying to install it, the boot floppy says

ahc0 at isa0 XXX 0x1c00 - 0x1cff irq 11: unknown device type ADP7F56

(don't know the exact wording of the XXX)

Now I looked on the card and it has a AIC 7770 P chip on it.

>From the 1.3 Install document I thought, the controller would
work

                Adaptec AHA-2x4x[U][W] cards and some onboard PCI designs
                        using the AIC78X0 chip.

as I did not see AHA-xxx AND AIX78x0 , but .. OR ..

What can I do? With the bt445, (at least it was like this in 1.1 times)
I can run it as a isa controler, but which nevertheless can use all
address lines without bounce buffers.
