Subject: problem probing wd1 in 1.3?

I finally got around to upgrading the OS on my NetBSD box at home. It
had a 2GB IDE, and I'm upgrading by installing 1.3 on a 3GB disk, then
plugging them both in and copying over the data files.

After getting the new disk all installed and working using a different
machine, I plugged it into this machine with the old disk as slave. The
BIOS probed both disks fine (primary 3079MB, secondary 2014MB, also got
the product name strings correct), but when NetBSD 1.3 booted, it showed
wd1 as being a product named <@AN>, and number of sectors per track as
being 32 instead of 63, and the total MB as "0" instead of 2014. When I
boot with the NetBSD 1.2.1 (2GB) disk as primary, it probes both disks
properly.

Is this something that has been seen before? Anybody who knows about the
wd driver care to try it?

BTW, both of my disks are Quantum Fireballs. The 2GB is a plain FB, the
3GB is a Fireball ST.
