Hi Michael:

Did you check to see if your X-window manager (afterstep, fvwm, twm, etc.) is
trapping those keys?  Can you use your alt-w in other X-apps, including xterm?
Alt-w works fine for me on all versions and ports of Netscape that I can run under
NetBSD, so it isn't the problem.  However I did have trouble with my feeble 95
(fvwm95) X window manager trapping the Alt-left & Alt-right keys to move the
mouse, so I disabled it in my window manager configuration file, and I can now use
those keys to go back & forth in netscape, which is useful when I run it on my
laptop.
