Hi! I have a bit of a question... I'm using a NetBSD/i386-1.3 box (with a
custom 1.3B kernel) as a router, etc., and I recently got the following
messages:

Jan 27 12:44:53 styx inetd[1885]: pmap_unset(100008, 1)
Jan 27 12:44:54 styx inetd[1885]: pmap_unset(100002, 2)
Jan 27 12:44:54 styx inetd[1885]: pmap_unset(100002, 3)
Jan 27 12:44:54 styx inetd[1885]: pmap_unset(100001, 1)
Jan 27 12:44:54 styx inetd[1885]: pmap_unset(100001, 2)
Jan 27 12:44:54 styx inetd[1885]: pmap_unset(100001, 3)

I'm going to reboot the box soon, since I can't seem to create any new
telnet or ftp connections into it. I tried killing and restarting inetd,
but that hasn't seemingly done anything for me.

I thought at first that it was simply a load problem - I'm running a SLIP
link on one of the ports, and the system routes between EtherNet and that
SLIP link, which runs at 38400 baud - but the load's not too severe, and
I can continue to do lots of stuff from the telnet connection that's still
open on the system.

Incidentally, I can still go *through* the machine to get to the machine
that's connected via SLIP. I just can't open new connections to the router
itself. Hm... Let me amend that. I had a telnet connection that was trying
to happen, and after several minutes, it worked. I closed it, and now the
new telnet and ftp connections I tried to open aren't doing anything.

Thanks in advance for clues... I'm rather disappointed that I have to
bring the system down - I've gotten used to having everything be pretty
much bulletproof.
