Hello.

When the NetBSD1.3/i386 boot floppy is used on an IBM Intellistation
(p6/200, 256M ram, Adaptec 2940 with 4G), it finds all the right
peripherals (but does not seem to have a driver for the EtherExpress
PRO/100), but hangs. It gets as far as:

   :
   npx0 at isa0 port 0xf0-0xff: using exception 16
   pc0 at isa0 port 0x60-0x6f irq1: color
   pc0: console
   fdc0 at isa0 port 0x3f0-0x3f7 irq 6 drq 2
   fd0 at fd0c drive 0: 1.44MB, 80cyl, 2 head, 18 sec

At this point it hangs forever with no activity (no floppy or disk
activity and the keyboard lights do not work).

What should be tried next?

A friend is trying to install NetBSD1.3/i386 on a generic PC and
sometimes the keyboard will work and sometimes it won't. I saw
someone mention a fix to this problem. Is a boot floppy with this
fix FTP-able?

The same friend is trying to get added to the port-i386 mailing list
from the web page. He receives mail saying that he will be receiving
a "key" which needs to be returned in order to be added, but that
other mail never arrives. What's up?

In an effort to reduce the amount of SPAM received when posting to these
netbsd mailing lists, there is a fake address in the header. Please
response to "ckane" at "best.com".

Thanks...
