The complete docs are there, release notes, etc., just not in an obvious 
place.

/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/docs if I remember correctly.

The old textual xf86config program is still there too and should do most 
people just fine for setting up X.

But I'll admit XF86Setup is much prettier. :)
