It is less than 1024 cylinders, less than 17 heads and less than 64 sectors.
1023*16*63*512 = 527966208 bytes.
As IDE drives now generally have 16 heads and 63 sectors, the only limitation
remaining is "less than 1024 cylinders", which is equivalent to
"less than 528Mb".
