is it normal or expected that i would get

pcvt: doreset() - timeout controller write command
pcvt: doreset() - timeout writing keyboard init command

each time i boot? my keyboard is actually plugged into one of those
console switch boxes so that i can use one monitor/keyboard with
multiple computers (that i don't have many of yet). the switch box
and the associated cable add about six feet to the distance between
the computer and the keyboard. maybe it's a timing thing?
