David Dawes also has reported problems with the SDT2000 drive and the 
aic7xxx driver.  This was a few months back, so it may be that I've 
inadvertantly fixed this problem since his last test, but I don't know for 
sure.  If someone in the states has one of these drives they can spare for 
a couple of days, I'd be happy to sick a SCSI bus analyzer on the problem 
and fix the bug.  I wouldn't expect it to take more than a day to diagnose 
and fix, so the bulk of the time you'd be without your tape drive would be 
shipping.
