Is anyone testing the new com driver on  FIFO-less chips (16450s, 8250s)?

For comparison, Linux on a 40Mhz 486 can keep up with 115.2k for
1k-byte packet bursts, using a 16450 -- at least as long as there's no
IDE traffic.  

FIFOs are better, but it's not always practical to upgrade serial
chips, particularly on laptop mboards.
