I've seen this too. The newfs command fails because of the large disk
geometry. There's an easy way to get around it without having to do
the complete installation manually:

1. boot the installation disks normally and answer 'n' to the question
if you want to continue the installation.

2. When you get a shell, manually newfs all your partitions:

	newfs -b 16384 -f 4096 /dev/rsd0a
	... the same for rsd0e, rsd0f, etc.

(you can use `disklabel -r sd0' to see all your partitions).

3. halt, reboot again, and answer 'y' to the question if you want
to continue the installation.

4. Enter EXACTLY the same cylinder values as you did initially. Once
it tries to newfs it will fail again, but that doesn't matter since
you have already created the file systems yourself. After that, the
installation should continue just fine.
