I suppose I found it myself:
It seems to be a problem with the primary harddisk. I tried to combine
it with a 3rd harddisk and got panics again. So I combined the 1st
and the 3rd harddisk and the system works fine and finally has the
amount of diskspace it should have.

But I still wonder why a faulty IDE harddisk can cause kernel panics.
