In advance I apologize for not quite a relevant question...

Because of a recent video problem that is forcing me to replace the
video card to use a decent resolution I am going to upgrade other parts
of my system at the same time.

Would some one let me know if any of the following will cause me any
problems with the i386 port of -current? I greatly appreciate it since
I would hate to get this stuff and have netbsd not work. If there is
something else that would substitute that is in the same price range and
has better performance I am interested in those comments as well.

  Adaptec 2940 Ultra Wide PCI

  #9FX Motion 771

ASUS 133 Mhz Pentium pipeline (exact model unknown) motherboard
    -or-
SuperMicro 133 Mhz Pentium 55T2S motherboard

A big concern is if the Adaptec controller will work at all or work on
the ASUS motherboard. I scoured ASUS's web site and am still confused
about the NCR SCSI BIOS on the ASUS motherboard. What food does it do?
Doesn't the Adaptec controller have it's own? Would a NCR PCI scsi
controller give better performance?

The Cyrix 686 is tempting but I am not quite brave enough to try
something that is not Intel and expect it to work flawlessly.

Thanks for putting up with my concerns.
