Isn't the NCR controller a reasonable solution for NetBSD as well? I
assume you're speaking generally with the last statement, and not just
for ISA systems. I've seen some problems where one tries to use more
than one NCR card in a given system, but used an NCR for quite a long
time before switching to the 2940 (for testing purposes - that was the
greener driver at the time and I have something of an obligation to
help test new stuff!). The NCR worked very well - never a single
problem with it.
