And I didn't put that in my config file (see below).

And, when I hack out the scd entry in files.i386.newconf, it also pukes
nicely when it can't find "scd.h" ("make depend" told me about that, but
I tried anyway).

Understood, but I didn't modify any files myself outside of running sup.
