Yes, currently COMPAT_LINUX requires COMPAT_43 and COMPAT_09. I should've
mentioned that, sorry. This dependency will be removed sometime soon.
About Doom speed: be sure to use SYSVSHM, that helps quite a bit. It
is true that the X version of Doom is known not to be a miracle of speed,
though.
