I am trying to get a Proxim Orinoco gold wireless (802.11b) card to
work on my Mobilepro 790 with NetBSD 3.1.

From the back of the card:
Proxim Orinoco Gold 802.11b
model 8420-WD, 842X
Agere Systems 0111-PC
5V, 16V
encryption 128RC4

When I insert the card, this comes up on the console:

wi0 at pcmcia1 function 0: <Agere Systems, Wireless PC Card Model
0111, , >
pcic0: port 0x14000480-0x140004ff
pcmcia1: card irq 3
wi0: 802.11 address 00:10:c6:2c:1a:ee
wi0: using Lucent Technologies, WaveLAN/IEEE
wi0: Lucent Firmware: Station (1.10.2)
wi0; using default channel list
wi0: no supported rate list
wi0: failed to attach controller

I have a Lucent WaveLAN silver turbo that worked without me having to
do anything.

Will the Proxim card work?

Thanks,
Tom
