Hello,

I've installed NetBSD 1.6.2 (TX3912 kernel) on a Compaq 2010C, but I'm
having problems with the serial port. Whenever something tries to
access /dev/ttyTX00, the kernel panics.

Details:

  - uname -a

    NetBSD pi 1.6.2 NetBSD 1.6.2 (TX3912) #0: Tue Feb 10 20:24:32 UTC
    2004 autobuild@tgm.netbsd.org:/autobuild/netbsd-1-6-PATCH002/hpcmips/
    OBJ/autobuild/netbsd-1-6-PATCH002/src/sys/arch/hpcmips/compile/TX3912
    hpcmips

  - pppd /dev/ttyTX00

    hpcout_hook: port 31: on
panic: tx39io0: IO31 is not output port.

Stopped in pid 184 (pppd) at +0x4: jr ra
       bdslot: nop
    db>

I've tried using all three bootloaders (selecting ``serial port on''
in psdboot*), with the same result. I've also tried booting with a
serial console using hpcboot.exe, but that gives a grey screen, with
nothing on the serial port.

Let me know if you need more details (I have to type everything I see
on the screen, since I have no other way of getting it into an email).

Thanks!

Alex
