I am running into a similar problem on my Intermec 6651 (TX3922 also). I
traced all through the boot loaders (both psdboot1.exe and hpcboot.exe) in
the debugger and it makes it all the way to the kernel.

I can send the boot log and debug info at the crash point if anyone thinks
it would help (or is interested). But the last thing you see when installing
from the serial console is:

EXCEPTION: 0xBFC00180
00: Int

EXCEPTION: 0xBFC00180
04: AdEL

It looks like the 1.6 GENERIC kernel is not running 100% on this cpu. If I
can find the time this week, I am going to try to cross-build a kernel with
some extra debugging and dig some more.

Subject: Unable to boot 1.6 GENERIC on ePods
Date: Wed, 8 Jan 2003 21:41:43 -0600

I have a ePods tablet and I am unable to boot 1.6 GENERIC for purposes of
installation. I have been able to boot 1.5.3 TX3922 using PBSDBOOT1
(strangely, only boot1 works; I've attached the boot logs at the end) using
the Victor InterLink MP-C1 framebuffer, and enabling serial port support,
but the same loader and options doesn't work for 1.6.

When I try to boot 1.6, the progress bar reaches the end, the ePods freezes
up, but there's nothing on the serial console.

What am I missing here?

Any help is appreciated!
