I'd love to have USB on mine, too. Unfortunately, the word is that
nobody has been able to get technical docs out of NEC. The thing is,
every other USB chip in the world is attached to a PCI bus, so we know
how to talk to a PCI USB controller. But the MobilePro doesn't have
PCI. So we don't know how to talk to the controller.

If we had docs, a driver could probably be written in short order.
Feel free to try to get such docs from NEC -- I keep meaning to ask,
but I haven't gotten to it yet.

Chris
