absolutely correct... but building packages from source on the z50 would 
be a long process, wouldn't it?

<sigh> if the z50 had a faster processor it would be even better - but i 
guess battery life would then be much less... as it is, i can live with 
the tradeoff, and i still think the z50 is a nice piece of hardware... 

i'm wondering if the unit could also function as a firewall or wireless
access point? is there some way to boot NetBSD to create a RAM-based 
filesystem, then remove the CF and insert another Ethernet/wireless card?

of course, there's no such device as a combination networking/storage CF 
or PCMCIA? i'm not a hardware guy, so i don't even know if that's 
technically feasible?

i'd appreciate any tips or pointers on net-booting the z50 using NetBSD...  
i seem to recall one site that had pictures of the z50 booting off a
network ... 

i'm just wondering if it would be possible to have NetBSD running on the
z50 with two active net devices...
