sorry folks... i guess i "jumped the gun" on my previous question
regarding an lpd error message... the error returned by lpd was due to an
attempt to print from a different subnet than that of the host with the
remote printer... my fix was to move the printer to a computer on the same
subnet as the Z50...

everything is working fine now, and i can print wirelessly from the Z50
running NetBSD! (the printer, a USB-enabled HP648C, is attached to an IBM
390X running Linux)...
