I've done it. I have a Workpad z50 with a 96 MB CF card. I used FDISK to
partition it (you could also use fips or GNU part, I guess). I made a 21 MB
FAT16 partition so that I could put my sets on that side, along with
pbsdboot.exe and netbsd.gz (compressed is best). Get the experimental
PocketPC sets to begin with.

Then, after creating a NetBSD filesystem (with a 5 MB swap partition;
everything else for / ), I needed to ctrl-z to shell and execute fdisk to
note the partition information for the MSDOS partition and then, after
setting the editor to vi (EDITOR=vi; export EDITOR) executing dislabel -e
wd0 and adding my MSDOS parition as drive e.

Then I "fg" back to the installer and tell the installer to look for the
sets (only first three, initially) on an unmounted filesystem, device wd0e,
filesystem msods, directory / .

It finds the sets and builds the system. Voila--bootable NetBSD on my WinCE
machine!

I've been using my machine for a few months and love it. I did load my
favorite editor (vim) and w3m. So comfortable. I just wish the SUSPEND
button really shut off everything...
