I've been trying to order an NEC MobilePro 800 for the last week or so,
and the places either don't know when they'll get it, or they claim to
have some but then cancel my order -- the most recent one said it was
discontinued.

I do have friends who go to Japan on business... should I just have one
of them buy me a MobileGear II RC-700 ?  Can I get a US power adaptor
for it?
