Also, if it's still in development....

What about hacking a driver for one of the numerous PC Wireless IR
keyboards for input, and using the stylist for a pointer to look up
stuff (even if things are text only, could write in perl and use modules
for ncurses that allow you to choose from a menu with a pointing
device...?)
