The info below must come from the 'identify drive' request.
I hope netbsd runs a timeout on the request......

Note that the sector count is 0x3de00 although standard 2^n byte flash
chips are used.  I suspect the 'missing' sectors are used by the FTL.
I also suspect that the FTL will be more efficient if it is told to
erase sectors that are no longer required - although this needs to be
passed from the filsystem code......

I think I've seem a CF card where the FTL layer got screwed up!
