in fact, I've come along quite nicely using the linux bootloaders to
boot netbsd. still a few small issues...

well, if you have a jtag interface, you can easily reprogram you flash.
and if you have socketed flash, you can easily reprogram it. but, most of
those development niceities are absent in commercial products.
