If I netboot the bootloader and try to run a kernel from the SCSI disk
(ID 4) I attempted to prepare on my sparc64 system:

 >> NetBSD/hp700 LIF/FFS/LFS Boot, Revision 1.2
 >> (nick@arthur, Mon Nov 8 12:12:10 GMT 2004)
 >> Enter "reset" to reset system.
Boot: [[[dk0a:]netbsd][-a][-c][-d][-s][-v][-q]] :- sd4a:netbsd
open sd4a:netbsd: Unknown error: code 19
boot: Unknown error: code 19
Boot: [[[dk0a:]netbsd.gz][-a][-c][-d][-s][-v][-q]] :- sd0a:netbsd
open sd0a:netbsd: Unknown error: code 19
boot: Unknown error: code 19
Boot: [[[dk0a:]netbsd.bak.gz][-a][-c][-d][-s][-v][-q]] :- halt
open dk0a:halt: No such file or directory
boot: No such file or directory
Boot: [[[dk0a:]netbsd.old][-a][-c][-d][-s][-v][-q]] :- reboot
open dk0a:reboot: No such file or directory
boot: No such file or directory

Any ideas what steps are necessary to get a SCSI disk prepared on
another platform? installboot does not support hp700 yet.

If I netboot a kernel, it autoconfigs, then hangs when looking for its
root filesystem. I know my DHCP server is OK, but it never seems to
get the request from the hp700. tcpdump confirms that the hp700 never
requests dhcp info. dmesg below

Any ideas? It seems to find the iee ethernet device just fine (which
is what's connected to my network), though the eisa ethernet card isn't
configured.

TIA,
