Hi,

I just ran across an odd problem. When I removed the catseye 98550A
framebuffer from my 433s, my ethernet transfers suffered. No output
errors, but significant input errors, such that my ftp throughput dropped
from ~600 KB/s to ~20 KB/s.

This happens with otherwise identical hardware and software. It happens in
1.4.2 and 1.4.3_ALPHA. It happens with GENERIC and homebrew kernels (which
have topcat enabled).

(fatmac) /tmp> netstat -i
Name Mtu Network Address Ipkts Ierrs Opkts Oerrs Colls
le0 1500 <Link> 08:00:09:14:3e:15 2451 461 2358 0 1
le0 1500 128.84.235/24 fatmac.ee.cornell 2451 461 2358 0 1

I'm in the process of compiling a 1.4.3_ALPHA kernel without any
framebuffers or ite0.

Has anyone seen this before, know anything about it, able to reproduce it,
or have any further info that I could put in a PR? My dmesg (without
framebuffer) is below.

I'd appreciate any quick responses, as this machine is going in a locked
closet in a few days and I won't have physical access to it.

Thanks,
