I'm trying to recompile a kernel (even GENERIC) and when I do the
"config GENERIC" I get this message:
files.hp300:3: syntax error
files.hp300:3: cannot proceed without maxpartitions specifier

	What can I do?  I added maxpartitions to GENERIC and got the same
message.
