On my hp380 at home, I'm using an Apollo serial mouse (an early Logitech 
OEM; I like the buttons better than on my HIL mice :-) plugged into the 
HIL via an HP "HIL to Quad converter".

If there's interest, I suppose I could find a non-destructive way to open 
the little box up, and post what's inside...
