Hi there,

last days I received some helpful messages about installing NetBSD
on my old hardware (which I described before).

I created a boot tape with SYS_INST and then made a partition for
the HP7958A like the following:

a: 30720 252
b: 58968 30972
c: 255276 0
d: 165336 89940

on Fast-HP-IB ID0 = rd8 (I also tried it on HP-IB as rd0)

After this, I installed the miniroot (inst-11.fs) on this drive
with some error messages like "le_put: xmit error, buf 0" but with
"Successfully copied miniroot image.".

Then I typed "boot" at the prompt and the problem appears;
the screen shows:

hpib0 at sc7, ipl 3
ppi0 at hpib0, slave 5 (whatever that is?!)
hpib1 at sc14, ipl 4
rd0:7958A
rd0 at hpib1, slave 0
rd1: 7958A
rd1 at hpib1, slave 1
Changing root device to rd0b
unexpected trap (vector offset0) from 2000000

and nothing more happens, only the drive light continues blinking :-(

May someone give me the problem solving hint?

Thanks in advance!
Uwe Kaufmann
