hello,

i recently purchased an hp 9000/300 (not sure what it is just yet... it's
soon to be on it's way to me) which is an '020 16mhz. i'm in the process
of reading all the back messages on the mailing list but i just wanted to
ask a couple of questions.

1) this machine is coming with 4m. i really don't know anything about hp
hardware. i assume i'll need more for netbsd to be happy running on it...
what exactly will i be looking for in the way of RAM?

2) the seller (someone who's on this list incidentally) told me that the
mono frame buffer will support a 1024x768 fixed-freq monitor. anyone have
a nice cheap source for one of these?

3) i also have no HIL devices. what am i looking for in the way of model
numbers and what approximate price would these go for?

4) i have no disk in this. the seller said it support fast & slow hpib
disks. nice cheap source? *grin* one with netbsd already on it would be dandy
or a source for a SCSI card...

this machine also has a Rev. B rom. will i be able to netboot it if i
can't acquire a disk with an OS already on it?

if i can get a disk & maybe some RAM and work out the netbooting i could
at least get going. i'm excited about getting involved with netbsd. my
house has primarily been a linux environment. that's getting old. :)
