Well, it depends on the bpf, but other than that ... worth a shot, I 
suppose :-)

I haven't been able to fix it yet.  To do so, I have to pull 1.1 sources 
down to my hp300 at home.  I've been having a flurry of network problems 
recently, likely due to the "mini brown-outs" I've been having since the 
Big Storm that recently ripped through the Bay Area.  (I.e. power 
flickers long enough to cycle power on the modem, that sort of thing...)  
I'm going to try very hard to have that fixed by this evening.  The old 
miniroot should work, it's just that the version says "1.1_ALPHA", and 
a couple of people have reported that their system _insists_ on doing a 
network boot sequence after booting the miniroot with the "boot" command 
in sys_inst.  I've not been able to reproduce that error here.
