For the 400s, the upgrade path is:
If the 1LY3 chip is revision -0304, the cpu, crystal, and boot
rom are replaced.

If the 1LY3 chip is not revision -0304, it appearently takes a
full cpu board replacement.

The 1LY3 chip is located above the cpu and forward of the ram 
slots (when looking from the back) in position U56.
