Maybe.  The commit message superficially makes me think not; it says
"...since January 2006", and the gdrom.c I'm using is 1.19, dated 2005.

However, the date is 2005-12-24, which is close enough to 2006, and the
symptoms are similar enough, that I'll have a look at the change and
see if it looks as though it makes sense.  I'll also have a look at the
other changes between 1.19 and 1.26.
