It doesn't happen here, both with "-r=1024,-w=1024" and without. I
didn't specify other parameter, I think NFSv3 udp is default.

What is your kernel config? I also tried with GENERIC with the
following line added:
lana0           at g2bus?

My server is NetBSD 1.6_RC2 on macppc of Aug 31. Shouldn't make much
difference.


Do ftp transfers work?
