To answer all the questions you helpful folks have asked since last night:

1. I'm using the kernel from
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/arch/sh3/snapshot/20010227-dreamcast-elf-tes
t/netbsd

2. Hmmm...syslog output...you'll have to forgive my ignorance here, but I
can't find any syslog out put. I thought /var/log or /var/run might have
it...but I don't see anything besides /var/log/messages that even looks
close. I made sure to turn on syslogd (since it doesn't start at bootup for
me at the moment) and re-ran the compile of bash-2.05 and got no thing in
/var/log/messages (though there was something for when I tried compiling
lynx2-8 complaining about not having swap, despite the 16MB of swap I
created yesterday). Where should I be looking? Should I have started syslogd
with any options?

3. Platform for Dreamcast object code...if you're referring to where I built
my kernel, I didn't, I just downloaded it. If you're talking about when I
try to compile Bash or the like, I'm just being a dumb user and running
"./configure" and "make".

I'm sure that, with the kernel and files I'm running, I'm way out of date,
but they're all I've been able to get the system working with. Where might I
find up-to-date kernels/binaries? I'd really love to get this all up with
current info, because I plan on rewriting the HOWTO shortly for all those
frustrated people out there it's not been terribly helpful for.

Thanks,
Alex Kirk
