Just an update on a problem I was having.  The problem was pretty
straight forward... my the HP 9350i cd-burner that I had purchased was
rejecting the -mode2, -xa1, and -xa2 to flags sent to cdrecord.  It
turns out the problem was that the burner itself didn't support CD XA
burning as far as I can tell.  I simply exchanged it for a phillips
burner and now everything works find and I can make my own cds and such.
