When my DC boots, it reports the video chip in 640x480 NTSC mode.
This is a PAL system, and the result is unattractive.  It's really
hard to read the text, especially the outer few columns and rows which
are off the edge of the screen.

Do I have to build a kernel with PAL options set, or is there
something missing from the driver code at this point?
