Actually, I think that they ask your age on the Sega site because of COPA
(Children's Online Protection Act). Basically, it says that sites can't
collect data from people younger than 13 (without parental consent). Of
course, it wouldn't take a genius to figure out that they just have to type
in an older age. Then again, it seems like Sega needs all the money it can
find right now, and I wouldn't be surprised if they were just collecting
demographic data...

It hasn't shipped yet that I know of (mine arrives this Wed.). It was
supposed to be bundled with the US adapter. A friend of mine has the
Japanese GD-ROM but I don't know if he's tried it yet to see if it has
English screens. I haven't seen any copies of this show up on
dcemulation.com yet. Considering it is free, I don't see any harm in
making it available to people without collecting their demographics. I've
been checking my order status with Sega recently and they always ask for
my date of birth. It's lovely being a statistic.
