There are instructions for fetching pkgsrc here:

http://www.netbsd.org/docs/pkgsrc/getting.html

Once you download and install pkgsrc (which doesn't take too long if
you follow the steps linked above), you will have a /usr/pkgsrc
directory into which you can `cd` to build and install lots of
packages with ease.
