Hi!

Is anybody running successfully a wireless lan pci card in a qube(2)?

I'm trying that with a ral based pci card (Conceptronic C54Ri) in my
qube2 which seems to be correctly recognized:

  ral0 at pci0 dev 10 function 0: Ralink Technologies RT2560 802.11b/g (rev. 0x01)
  ral0: interrupting at irq 9
  ral0: 802.11 address 00:80:5a:36:76:fc
  ral0: MAC/BBP RT2560 (rev 0x04), RF RT2525
  ral0: 11b rates: 1Mbps 2Mbps 5.5Mbps 11Mbps
  ral0: 11g rates: 1Mbps 2Mbps 5.5Mbps 11Mbps 6Mbps 9Mbps 12Mbps 18Mbps 24Mbps 36Mbps 48Mbps 54Mbps

and handled by the kernel, but shows some kind of connectivity issues.
It seems to able to associate with access points or other wlan devs in
adhoc mode, but ping times are abnormally high:

  [...]
  16 bytes from fe80::280:5aff:fe37:f748%ral0, icmp_seq=774 hlim=64 time=2002.05 ms
  16 bytes from fe80::280:5aff:fe37:f748%ral0, icmp_seq=775 hlim=64 time=1373 ms
  16 bytes from fe80::280:5aff:fe37:f748%ral0, icmp_seq=776 hlim=64 time=2002.06 ms
  16 bytes from fe80::280:5aff:fe37:f748%ral0, icmp_seq=777 hlim=64 time=1216.32 ms
  16 bytes from fe80::280:5aff:fe37:f748%ral0, icmp_seq=778 hlim=64 time=1239.71 ms

'hostap' doesn't seem to work (completely): 'wiconfig ... -D' on other
wlan devs detect it as an access point, but no associating is
possible.

On the other side the ral pci cards power led is not enlightened (as
its activity led (sometimes depending on its stage) is). I've read
about some missing pci voltage supply on the qube(2)'s pci slot, maybe
its all related to this deficiency?

In case of this pci deficiency: Is there a list/survey of working pci
cards (especially wlan cards ;-)) for qube(2)'s (and maybe raq(2)'s)?

Any comments/help appreciated,

Markus.
