Hi,

You should check out <http://sourceforge.net/projects/cobalt-rom> for  
the open source ROM on the RaQ line.  Unlike the raq2 or qube2, the  
RaQ3 and up have flash-able ROMs.  There is a feature to boot a *BSD  
kernel directly in there, but I don't know of anyone who has gotten  
it to work.
