Thanks to Ray Dekens i got a .iso of the updated rescue cd. For the record:
I made that iso available at http://kju.de/misc/COBALT_3C509_162.zip and
will keep it there. So if someone else is looking for this iso, here you
are.

However i just tried the CD. It will netboot, and then it will scroll some
output on the lcd (too fast too read), last message is some error about the
root filesystem. I have a 3c509b Card in the machine and both cards are
connected to a hub so at any time both cards should have access to the
network.
